A delegation of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) led by the Chief Executive Officer of PPAF Qazi Azmat Esa visited Kashmore @ Kandhkot and Shikarpur districts on February 24, 2020. The delegation participated in the Productive Assets Distribution ceremonies organized in UC Rasool Bux of Kashmore @Kandhkot) and village Khabri of UC Taib in Shikarpur, districts and conducted dialogues with organized community members and beneficiaries of the BISP under the National Poverty Graduation Programme (NPGP).
The CEO-PPAF distributed productive assets among 61 beneficiaries from District Kashmore and 18 beneficiaries from District Shikarpur. Productive assets are being distributed to the poor households under the Government of Pakistan’s International Fund for Agricultural Development(IFAD) funded National Poverty Graduation Programme (NPGP) managed by the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund in 23 districts of Pakistan and SRSO is one of the six implementing partner of PPAF implementing this program in Shikarpur and Kashmore Kandhkot.
Mr. Qazi Azmat Esa said on the occasion that: “NPGP has been started by Govt. of Pakistan to end poverty from the poorest of poor families of Pakistan on a sustainable basis. PPAF has a strong belief in five core values i.e.; participation, partnership, transparency, accountability, and sustainability at all levels and I am very happy to see all these values are in practice by SRSO and women leaders of Community Institutions at the gross root level.”
