Sartyoon Sang Crafts Enterprise in Date Festival Khairpur 2014

Sartyoon Sang Crafts Enterprise participated in 6th Date Festival held in Sachal Auditorium Khairpur on 23 and 24th August 2014. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah inaugurated the Khairpur Date Festival on Saturday evening. MNA Ms. Nafisa Shah was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the Festival on Sunday. She appreciated very much the efforts of SRSO and Sartyoon Sang Crafts for the promotion of Products made from Leaves of Date palm including floor mats, bags and decoration pieces were also put on display in the show. Commissioner Sukkur Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Khairpur Munawar Mithiani, PPP leader Nazar Muhammad Gaho and others also visited the stall. Back
14 August Celebrations at Cluster School in Shikarpur

On 14th August 2014 Children of Cluster school UC Garhi Sahib Khan in Shikarpur district celebrated Independence Day of Pakistan. On the occasion Children participated in Naat Competition, Quiz Competition, Speech Competition, Patriotic Song and Tablo Competition with Zeal and Zest and win Prizes. A workbook of English was Launched which is prepared by team of Education Project SRSO. SRSO is implementing this project with the financial support of Govt. of Sindh. Back
Cross Breed Heifers Distrubution in Jacobabad

SRSO Jacobabad Office distrubuted 55 cross breed heifers among ultra poor women of district Jacobabad in the month of August 2014. This is a special Initiative for poor rural women as asset building measure leading to sustained income in future and with a focused to promote Livestock and dairy sector on the basis of cooperative business model. The beneficiaries received these heifers under the ” Union Council Based Poverty Reduction Program” funded by the Government of Sindh. Back
Cross Breed Heifers Distribution in Ghotki

Download: Report of Heifers Distribution Ceremony On 2nd February 2014, CEO SRSO Ms. Naheed Shah distributed 1800 Gersy/freshen cross breed cows among the ultra-poor families of UC Khan garh, Bhetoor and Lohi under the project “Livelihood Enhancement and Protection Program II” funded by PPAF. These crossbreed cows will produce more than 12-liter milk per day and this new trend of livestock farming will contribute to economic development of beneficiaries. Back
Sartyoon Sang Crafts Festival (January 2014)

SRSO with the support of different partners and sponsors organized the “Sartyoon Sang Crafts Festival” from January 24 to 26, 2014 in Karachi’s high-end market the Ocean Mall. Ms. Sharmila Farooqi, special assistant on culture to Sindh CM inaugurated the 3-day event. The exhibition brought a variety of traditional arts and crafts to Karachi. These colorful and captivating products are the work of hundreds of rural women from different remote villages of Kashmore/Kandhkot; Shikarpur; Ghotki; Jacobabad; Khairpur and Sukkur. A wide mixture of Sindh’s handicrafts including home textiles (made up of the intricate patch work, cut work and embroidery); basketry; jewelry; dresses, dupattas, shawls embellished with traditional embroidery and cutwork were exhibited Back
The International Human Rights Day in Khairpur

SRSO-Gender Advocacy and Development (GAD) Sector organized a seminar on the international Human Rights Day at Sachal Auditorium Khairpur on December 10, 2012. the seminar was attended by lawyers, journalists, writers, intellectuals, religious scholors, notables, working women, and other segments of society including over 400 women of the Khairpur and Shikarpur districts.Additional Deputy Commissioner Khairpur, Anwar-ul-Haq was the chief guest on the occasion. Event highlighted the human rights especially rural women irrespective of their color, race, religion or social status. On the occasion a theater presented a play to highlight various types of discrimination and violence against women and the importance of resistance against violence at all levels. Back
Sindh CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah Attended Program Organized by SRSO in Khairpur

Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah attended the Programs organized by SRSO in Khairpur on 03 August 2012. CM handed over the documents of Sate land to poor landless Farmers under the project of “State Land to Landless Farmers” funded by Government of Sindh. SRSO Livestock Project

SRSO Livestock Project is new initiative for poor rural women. Under the UCBPRP heifers will be distributed in the households falling the 0-18 band of the poverty Score Card. The concept is conceived while looking its feasibility and impact on assets generation by the poorest members of community organizations of Shikarpur and Kashmore-Kandhkot. The initiative is focused to promote Livestock and dairy sector on the basis of cooperative business model as part of the project, a special Initiative for poor women as asset building measure leading to sustained income in future. Inauguration of “Sartian Sang Market” in Sukkur

Craft Outlet “Sartian Sang Market” has been inaugurated by Chairman-SRSO Mr. Shoaib Sultan Khan on March 01, 2012 at Military Road Sukkur. The initiative under UCBPRP includes capacity building of the crafts-persons, Product Development, and its marketing strategies which will enable marginalized women to have access to local, national and international markets.
