Major Activities

 

  • The FALAH project increased use of family planning and birth spacing services by removing barriers and expanding knowledge to protect the health of women and children.
  • Social Mobilization for FALAH project;
  • Conducted awareness and sensitization sessions with rural communities to promote birth spacing as an acceptable health intervention to protect the lives of women and infants.
  • Conducted sessions with religious leaders Because the views and opinions of religious leaders and scholars are critical in shaping public opinion, FALAH sought to educate and inform them on the need for more effective family planning interventions to help mitigate perceived religious opposition.
  • Dialogues conducted with community men & women;
  • Adaptation of modern family planning methods and referrals;
  • Contribution in the development of annual implementation plan;
  • Identification and orientation of Men & Women Community Facilitators /Activists;
  • Groups formation and sensitization of married men & women of reproductive age.
  • Coordination with health and population welfare departments.
