Major Activities:
SRSO, with the support of UNICEF, implemented the WASH project for flood-affected people in the relief camps of Kashmore, Khairpur, and Sukkur districts in Phase I and an additional three districts, namely Shikarpur, Jacobabad, and Qamber-Shahdadkot, in Phase II.
Under this project, SRSO conducted awareness in the IDPs regarding Personal Hygiene, hand washing, and the use of soap.
SRSO also provided the Jerry Cans, Buckets, and hygiene kits containing (toothpowder, cotton, sanitary pads, soap, and detergent soap) in these districts.
The WASH project support included the installation of pit latrines, bathing places, water pumps, provision of water through water tankers, and water purification tablets.
The project targeted a total of 80,000 households.
